A Companion Journal Entry to my post: "Enabling Sinful Behavior".
How does Satan work through toxic people; he fills our life with worry and deceives us into carrying a workload that doesn't belong to us. This worry then chokes out the word of God so that we are no longer walking in the Spirit who leads us into all effectiveness (Mark 4:19).
His goal is to distract us with HIS counterfeit work of enabling and codependency, so that the power and light of God in our life, would grow dim (Ephesians 5:8). His weapon is always that of deception (John 8:44). Deception which gives birth to toxicity and disorder (James 3:17).
All he needs is a crack of the door open. Like a rat, he sneaks himself in, through the smallest gaps of our home. A little leaven spoils the whole loaf (Galatians 5:9). He dresses himself like an angel of light; he Disguises himself as a sheep of the Lord most high (2Corinthians 11:14).But inside he is a ravenous wolf (Matthew 7:15), a roaring Lion ready to tear apart his simple prey(1Peter 5:8).
Therefore, ye be watchful (1 Corinthians 16:33 & Luke 21:36), Be careful to ignore the fruit of Gods warnings, our God is a God of order and discipline (Proverbs 1 & 1Corinthians 14:33). We have been given a spirit of self-control and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7), anyone who does not bear the fruit of righteousness is a counterfeit, a fake ((Matthew 7:15-20 & 1 John 3:7-10). Run, run far away (2 Corinthians 6:17).
Focus your attention on Gods will and his sheep. For if you love him, you will feed his flock (John 21:17). The workers are few, and the harvest is ready (Luke 10:2). We need each other (1Corinthians 12:27). Never sacrifice the sheep that God has placed under your care to reach out to a wolf. Instead be ready to give an answer and share the hope that is in Jesus Christ (1Peter 3:15). The harvest belongs to the Lord (Matthew 9:38).
Be ready, be vigilant, be ready for every good work (2Timothy 3:17).
As for the counterfeit work of the devil. I say; I have come to do your will oh God (Hebrews 10:9). I will not be moved by my emotions. I will not greet anyone on the way (Luke 10:4). I will call righteous what you call righteous and cursed what you call cursed. Help me to do your will oh God. Teach me your ways for they lead to everlasting life (Psalm 139:34).The field is ready, and the workers are few(Luke 10:12). Lord send me (Isaiah 6:8) . In my weakness you are strong (2Corinthians 12:9-11). My eyes are set on you (Hebrews 12:2). Though I am a lowly worm (Isaiah 41:14) and I am slurred in speech (Exodus 4:10), Lord I ask, that you please send me (Isaiah 6:8).
